hot tea

I have been on a hot tea kick the past few days. I love how warm and cozy it makes me feel. Even looking at pictures of steamy cups of tea makes me feel like that. There is something so comforting about tea when you feel cranky or sick. It's like a ritual that you do when you feel bad and once you put the water on to boil, it's almost as if even that first step is soothing. It's so good for you too!

colorway (friday) sunday!

I have been so busy this week with school stuff that there hasn't really been time to blog. I have managed to put up a few quick posts here and there. This week should be better because I'll be home more. Last week I attended a French film festival and also stayed with some friends a few nights. It was fun but kept me very busy! Anyway,

colorway friday sunday is here! This week the color is beige.

Beige is the color of:

Warm radiators with pretty teacups sitting on them

Cotton ball clouds

Pretty dresses

Old buildings

Vintage lace

Frilly tulle

Lovely quotes

Sweaters out in the middle of a field

Cute puppies

happy feet

I love these cute new shoes I just got for spring/summer. They're so happy looking, don't you think?

Be back later with a colorway friday sunday post! I have been SOOO busy this week!

I love street style

I love pretty clothes and looking at pretty people wearing them outside on the streets and sidewalks of the world. The weather has been warming up (except for those fluke-y last few days) and all I want to do is look at clothes lately. I want to put those sweaters and coats away already. I am so sick of my winter clothes I can barely stand it! I just want to be outside wearing a pretty outfit in the sun. That's all I ask.

"mill-e-wah-que"

We're back from our little road trip to Wisconsin! It was so much fun. We did all of the things on our list. Milwaukee is a nice city, very clean, very friendly and easy to navigate. We liked it a lot and we'll probably go back soon. It's only 2 hours away from Chicago so we could go anytime. I would recommend a trip there to anyone!

Here are some pictures I took with my phone on Friday and Saturday:

We spent $30 on cheese at Mars Cheese Castle! That's a lotta cheese!

The view from the art museum facing the lake

Sol Le Witt's instructions to the MAM for one of his hand drawn wall works.

Milwaukee has wonderful architecture. The art museum is Absolutely amazing!

The view from the hotel room. I always love a good view.

Day view of the river on our way to dinner.

We ate at this nice German restaurant, Mader's. It was rated the best in Milwaukee. We ate traditional German food and had some beers. It was really yummy. It was kitschy too, in a good way. The menu had pictures of celebrities who had eaten there over the years. They had head shots with handwritten notes from some celebrities. They had Cary Grant! I was in awe of that one :)

The city is so pretty at night with all of the lights.

On the brewery tour, this is where they make the good stuff.

Coffee stout, SO good!

On the brewery tour, the guide picked two guys to reenact the opening theme from Laverne and Shirley. It was so funny and reminded Doug of this scene from Wayne's World where they visit Milwaukee.

Wisconsin Love ♥

Spring break is almost over :( I'm sad about it but its back to the real world tomorrow. I have a lot of things to get done today because I put them all off until the last day but everybody does that, right? It was a really, really great break!

busy having fun

I haven't blogged since Monday because I have been super busy. I'm on spring break and it has been wonderful! I have been so busy doing fun things. It's about to get even better because tomorrow my boyfriend and I are going on a road trip to Milwaukee. I'm excited! We're going to load up the car and drive in the morning and stay until Saturday night! We're going to a brewery tour (a must in Milwaukee), eat German food (another must), eat yummy yummy frozen custard, stay in an old hotel and go to the art museum.  I can't wait! Sunday morning I'll be back with pictures from the trip :)

We're going to stop at one of my favorite places on the way there too, Mars Cheese Castle! I LOVE cheese! I couldn't go a day without it.

Some of my favorite cheesy things:

Mmmmm....chhheeeessssseeeee (hahaha)

Happy St. Paddy's Day too! I live in Chicago where people go crazy for it even though most are not Irish. We even dye the river green. I think it's so cool looking.
